This plant features tall, fluffy pink flower plumes that emerge above its clumps of thin green foliage in late summer. The plumes gradually fade to tan as the season goes on but will remain until winter when they naturally fall off. It requires full sun and also consistently moist to wet soils, making it ideal for use at the edge of streams and ponds. Its plumes look great when planted en masse or in groupings and it can also be used in any areas of the landscape where drainage is an issue as an attractive solution.
