Native
An attractive eastern woodland wildflower of the poppy family with showy bright yellow flowers in mid-spring to summer. Flowers are held above shapely blue-green deeply dissected and lobed foliage with silvery undersides. Naturally found in moist woodlands and streambanks, Wood Poppy prefers similar locations and self seed in such. During periods of drought or dry soil plants will go dormant. Ideal for moist woodland gardens and landscapes in heavy shade.
