A Purpleleaf Plum coveted for its deep purple spring and summer foliage. Dainty early spring pink flowers are soon followed by the emergence of the purple foliage that holds the color through the summer.  Small edible purple plums develop in late summer. If fruit is not desired, spent flowers may be pruned off in spring.
