Shrub

Salix 'Rubykins'

Willow

Plant Type: Shrub

An interestingly small shrub willow with attractive slender branches, ruby-red new growth and narrow foliage. Distinctive bright red catkins on smooth yellow-green stems in spring offer early season interest before foliage. Leaves are narrow, almost straplike, and ruby-red in color when first emerging. Foliage matures to an attractive bluish green for summer interest. Thrives in moist or wet conditions. An interesting shrub with several seasons of interest. (Winter stems yellow)
