Coleus 'Trailing Plum'
Coleus
'Trailing Plum' is another Coleus that is particularly well-suited for hanging baskets, the edges of containers, and fronts of window boxes due to its trailing habit. Its small leaves are dark purple with flecks of fuschia and highlighted in green. In order to keep their bright colors in tact and to keep the leaves from burning, Coleus do require partial shade or shade to look their best. They do need to be deadheaded to keep their small purple spires of flowers at bay, however, if they are left to remain on the plant, they can attract bees and hummingbirds.
