Annual
This variety of Salvia stands out with its slightly fuzzy silver-green leaves and dramatic purple-black tubular blooms. It is highly underused but really is a beautiful plant that deserves to be seen more! Its leaves provide texture and are the perfect foil for other plants in mixed containers, or it could be used in groupings and beds and borders. It is able to withstand drought and the heat of summer as well. The blooms are a favorite of butterflies and hummingbirds and their dramatic dark color is sure to bring attention.
