Shrub
Recognized as the true dwarf boxwood and one of the most widely used boxwoods for hedging. This slow-growing boxwood holds a very dense compact form, responds well to pruning, and is considered the least susceptible to leaf-miner. Foliage tends be a lighter green than other selections. Without pruning, the natural shape "reminds [one] of clouds fused together" as Michael Dirr eloquently states -and it truly does.
