Allium 'Gladiator'
Ornamental Onion
Plant Type: Perennial
'Gladiator' is a striking variety of allium that has incredibly tall 3-4 foot spikes bearing 6" globes of lavender-blue flowers that bloom from late spring and into early summer. It grows readily in full sun in average, dry, and/or sandy soils and will naturalize and spread where it is happy. Bees, butterflies, moths and other beneficial pollinators enjoy the flowers while it remains deer resistant. It works well in garden beds, borders, and cottage gardens. As an added bonus, the stunning flowers work beautifully in cut or dried flower arrangements!
