Allium senescens 'Blue Eddy'
Ornamental Onion
Plant Type: Perennial
'Blue Eddy' is so named since its clumps of blue-green foliage grow in whorls that are reminiscent of eddies of water. It produces globes of light lavender blooms that are favored by butterflies. Its flowers also are beautiful for both fresh and dried flower arrangements. It will naturalize where it is happy, although if that is not desired the blooms can be cut back before they go to seed.
