Anemone hupehensis var. japonica 'Pamina'
Windflower
'Pamina' features beautiful 2" wide deep rose double petalled flowers with prominent golden stamens that are held up high on wiry dark stems above a mound of dark green foliage. The flowers are a welcome sight in the late summer garden and blooming persists through the fall. They also work very well as cut flowers and are popular with pollinators and butterflies. If the seedheads are left it will also naturalize freely and form colonies. Despite its delicate appearance, it has good disease resistance and is also resistant to deer and rabbits. It benefits from moist, evenly drained rich soils and a little protection from the wind. It would be a great addition to cottage style gardens as well as traditional beds and borders where it could be allowed to spread.
