Aquilegia x 'Beidermeier'
Columbine
Plant Type: Perennial
This variety of Columbine produces flowers in a mix of white, purple, and pink shades. The flowers have shorter spurs than other Columbines but still have a charming appearance and the signature mounds of lacy foliage. It grows best in full to partial sun in well-drained soils. Similar to other Columbines it will self-seed freely but can be deadheaded early on to encourage flowers to continue. It would work especially well planted at woodland edges with spring ephemerals and ferns.
