A popular shade-loving perennial with extremely showy creamy-white flowers held above the foliage on dark stems. Thrives in the moist well-drained shade, yet 'Visions in White' and other chinensis cultivars are known to tolerate much drier conditions than other Astilbe. Well-behaved and attractive green lacy foliage adds an elegant touch to the woodland garden when plants are not in bloom. A mid-season bloomer. Not as vigorous as other 'Visions' selections.
