Athyrium niponicum 'Pictum'
Japanese Painted Fern
Plant Type: Fern
Japanese Painted Fern forms a tidy mound of delicate grey-greenn foliage that appears to be streaked in silver. It is a popular plant that is sure to make a statement in any shade or woodland garden. It requires consistently moist soil and benefits from regular fertilizing to look its best. Its smaller size also makes it ideal for use in shady containers, and its silver color would also look striking in stone planters or troughs.
