Campanula portenschlagiana 'Clockwise Deep Blue'
Bellflower
Plant Type: Perennial
'Clockwise Deep Blue' is a prolific bloomer that produces small bell-shaped flowers all throughout the summer. Its green foliage forms a spreading clump of stems covered in small, finely cut leaves that are attractive in their own right and often entirely covered in the flowers during the season! It does well in full to partial sun and likes consistently moist, well-drained soil. It is great for use as a groundcover since its dense foliage is good at suppressing weeds and also along path edges and the fronts of beds and borders. It is also a charming component in containers when placed at the edge where it can have a charming "spiller" effect.
