Cephalotaxus harringtonia 'Duke Gardens'
Japanese Plum Yew
Plant Type: Shrub
A graceful upright spreading evergreen shrub with exceptional heat tolerance, a compact form, and dark green foliage that holds the color throughout all seasons. Similar in appearance to the common yew but with larger leaves and a bit more elegance. Native to shady woodlands in Japan so this shrub is at home deep in the shade, yet withstands sun as well. Prefers moist, well-drained soil but once established will tolerate dry conditions. A superb slow-growing taller ground cover.
