Coleus 'Gay's Delight'
Coleus
Plant Type: Annual
A fan favorite, 'Gay's Delight' has bright chartruese leaves highlighted by the dark purple veins running down the middle. Coleus are an excellent addition to any garden as a colorful element in mixed containers, tucked into hanging baskets, in beds and borders, and in mass plantings to draw attention. In order to keep their bright colors in tact and to keep the leaves from burning, Coleus do require partial shade or shade to look their best. They do need to be deadheaded to keep their small purple spires of flowers at bay, however, if they are left to remain on the plant, they can attract bees and hummingbirds.
