Nyssa sylvatica 'Wildfire'
Blackgum
Plant Type: Native
A fabulous selection of our native Tupelo tree with striking red new growth in spring. Foliage eventually matures to a glossy dark green in summer and then to a vibrant almost electric red/red-orange in autumn. Bluish-black oblong drupe in fall attracts mammals and birds. Wet site tolerant. Fall color of the tupelos cannot be rivaled.
