Salvia 'Vista™ Red'
Salvia
Plant Type: Annual
'Vista Red' is a compact variety of Salvia that produces bright scarlet red tubular flowers that are covered in a red calyx. It lends a bold impact of color to mass plantings and groupings. It also is more tolerant of heat and drought which makes it another excellent choice for use in the landscape. It will produce flowers beginning in late spring and with consistent deadheading will continue to flower into the fall. As with other Salvias, its fragrant foliage is a deterrent to deer and rabbits, however the blooms will still be a hit with butterflies and hummingbirds!
