'Purple Heart' has long, slender leaves that are a rich shade of deep purple. It is a fast grower with a trailing habit that makes it perfect for hanging baskets or as a "spiller" in containers. When the weather is warmer, it also produces small bright purple flowers with golden stamens at its tips. It can also tolerate drought and due to its succulent stems does not require much regular watering, making it very low maintanence. It also responds very well to being cut back which only causes it grow even fuller! Its cut stems with the flowers also look great as decoration in little vases.
